Structured Impressionism
WALL SCULPTURE & MIXED MEDIA
My mixed-media, bas-relief sculptures are inspired by the color, movement, light, and texture of organic form in the desert Southwest and Pacific coast. Meditative yet playful, these tactile pieces mark my return to fine art after a high-tech design career.
While my art journey restarted with beaded Fiber Vessels, this page begins with my large Organic Abstracts, the work most different from my current paintings. Using a proprietary technique, I integrated the yarn, beads, and wire of my Fiber Vessels with fiber-infused clay and translucent acrylic glazes to create unique, tactile wall sculptures that capture light. This sculptural history shapes my current paintings on canvas, where I continue to explore structure, color, movement, and light in landscape.
